You can make a difference without wearing the coolest clothes, or rapping the latest tunes by P-diddy, or being able to make a Berani without turning to an Air Kedidi (ask a skater what that means). You just simply have to have a heart to see God’s Kingdom expanded.
Junior high students aren’t looking for someone to prove how cool he or she is (after all, if you're over twenty-five, you have no chance of being cool anyway). They are just looking for someone to love them and show them a little attention. You can do that!
At Park Avenue, we have several ways you can minister to junior high students such as leading a small group, teaching Sunday School, chaperoning trips, visiting during school lunch time, prayer, you name it. No matter what your student is like, there is an opportunity for you to reach junior high students for Christ. |
